The Blizzard portion of Activision Blizzard have let us know you can now nab Blizzard game soundtracks previously only available in special editions or from events such as BlizzCon directly from the Apple iTunes store.
The albums have been placed on a new Blizzard Entertainment hub page within the iTunes store. This page also hosts content such as the BlizzCast™ podcast and trailers and gameplay footage from upcoming Blizzard Entertainment games, with more material to be added in the months ahead. In addition, the "Diablo III Overture" from the company’s recently announced action role-playing game, Diablo III, is available as a single and has been highlighted as a Discovery Download, making it free to download
until Tuesday, September 9.
Blizzard fans rejoice, now you can play WoW while listening to Diablo music, if that's the sort of thing you're into. All the tracks currently available can be seen in the press release link above.

Or you can grab WinMPQ and rip the MP3 files straight out of the game files (sounds.mpq I think it is?). Having the Blizzcast podcasts on there is pretty nifty though - They're always fairly good to listen to (if you're a Blizzard fan).

Ahh game music.

I remember grabbing the MOD files from Star Control 2. Now that was some quality game music.

Also have had and still have on my ipod/pda/iphone3g the 3 songs for each race from Broodwars. Love the Zerg's guitar sound.
